For this card, I simply freehand cut a large white heart and used some fun foam to pop it up. I then took a few different colors or ribbon and created loops that I secured behind my heart. I added a fun Me and My Big Ideas sparkly die cut to the front and then used a black gel pen to add some fake stitching details around the outside of the heart as well as the outside border of the card face. Super fun but quick and simple to create! I hope you like my creation and please visit the CRAFT Challenge blog in order to see what everyone else created and to leave us a link to a creation of your own featuring ribbon and sparkles. Happy Crafting!!

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge--Animals
Happy Thursday! This week on the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge blog, we were challenged to create a project with animals included. I decided to create a card this week as I have had this stamp set around for quite awhile but hadn't found a perfect time to use it. I also got to dig into my scrap bin to create all of the layers which was a double bonus! Here is my card....
The stamp set I used is from Studio Calico and came in an old kit subscription. I added some additional detail to the stamps by using my Star Dust Stickles on the owl's hat, the heart in the middle box, and the scarf around the polar bear. I added some pen stitching on my layers as well as a couple of staples using my tiny attacher for some additional detail. This was a very quick card to create and used all supplies that I had on hand. All of those cardstock and patterned paper layers came out of my scrap bin!
I hope you enjoy and I can't wait to see what you create for the Animals Challenge at C.R.A.F.T. this week. Make sure to head over to the blog to see what the other design team members have created and to link us up to check out your work! Happy Crafting!!!

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge--Christmas
Happy Thursday! It's time for another C.R.A.F.T. Challenge and this week we are focusing on Christmas projects. This week, I decided to go with a quick and simple card design and hope that it inspires you as well. Not every card, layout, or project needs to take 55 hours and 7 tons of supplies to complete! Sometimes, simple can be beautiful too! To create this look, you only need a couple of supplies and a short amount of time.
For the background, I used a white cardstock card base....easy peasy. I did add a little black inking around the edges of all of the layers to create unity. Then, I free-handed the letters for the word "Joy" out of white cardstock and covered them with some washi tape strips...super quick, very easy, neat look! I then stitches around the letters with red embroidery thread and added some adhesive red rhinestones throughout the letters. Easy peasy and quick! Last step....two project life cards a little black cardstock border to complete the look. It looks unique, detailed, and fun while taking very few supplies and a short amount of time. Sometimes...quick and easy is the answer!
I hope you will check out the rest of the Christmas projects created by the design team over at C.R.A.F.T and also try your hand at a Christmas project this week. Make sure to link us up over on the C.R.A.F.T. blog so that we can check out your work and leave you comments as well. Leave a comment below with your favorite quick and easy technique!

C.R.A.F.T. Challenge: Inspired by a Film
Happy Thursday everyone! Welcome to another C.R.A.F.T. challenge. This week, the design team was challenged to create a project that was inspired by a film. I am currently working with my May 2016 Hip Kit and wanted to use that to create this layout. I have been on a hand-stitching and cut file kick lately so both of those elements were important parts of this layout. The movie that I used for my inspiration was Alice in Wonderful as I was working with a photo from the tea cups ride at Disney World. I loved the motion that was depicted in the photo and so I wanted to carry that out into the page design as well. I hope that you enjoy this layout and will also come visit me on my You Tube channel where there is a process video showing how this layout came together!!
Please visit my You Tube channel and check out the process video that goes with this layout. Also, make sure to head back over to the C.R.A.F.T. challenge blog to check out the work from the other design team members and to link us up to your work so that we can see how you are inspired by a film this week. Happy Crafting!!!

Use Your Stuff Challenge: Color Combination
Happy Monday!
For this week on the Use Your Stuff blog, we were challenged to use the color combination seen below. Such a pretty combination!!!
I absolutely love this combination of colors together, however, creating the layout was a little big challenging because the crafting world is seriously lacking in purple products in my opinion. Eventually, I put together a product that I was happy with and I hope you like it too. I did find that the organization system I use for my embellishments and ephemera really helped with this challenge. I organize all of these things in Iris photo boxes. I was able to just grab the containers for these specific color families and sort through to find things that would coordinate. Super quick and easy! If you are interested in hearing more about my storage so seeing pictures of it, please leave a comment below. Make sure to visit the Use Your Stuff blog to check out the amazing work from the other design team members and to leave us a link to check out your work as well! Happy Crafting!!!

Breast Cancer Campaign and Auction
Welcome! I am so glad that you are here and are participating in our Blogs 4 Boobies Blog Hop and Auction! In the outside world, I am a home health nurse. Each day I travel throughout my city to take care of patients in their own homes so that they don't have to be in the hospital. Several of my patents have gone through breast cancer experiences and several of my family members have as well. I love my profession and the work that I get to do every day and so when I was invited to participate in this fundraiser from Skipping Stones Design there was no hesitation. I hope that you participate, enjoy our projects, and contribute in any small way that you can. Thanks for visiting!

Each shaker circle has several different colors of sequins as well as Beadazzles in a few different colors. C.R.A.F.T. Challenge: Recipe
Happy Thursday! This week on the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge blog we were challenged to create using a recipe. This recipe for this week includes:
1. a digital image
2. some pearls or rhinestones
3. 1 ribbon
4. 3 papers
5. 1 sentiment
This was a really fun challenge because it added some extra dimensional elements while still incorporating the digital image and card sediment. Here is the card that I created for this week. I look forward to seeing what you create! Make sure to visit the CRAFT blog in order to see the amazing work of the other designers and to leave us a link to your work.
